Cut Sage in the early morning. This will ensure they have the most taste. Cut leaves from the bottom or cut green stems only.
Wash Sage in cold water and vinegar.
There are two options for this next step.
Option 1. Take the leaves off of the stems place in dehydrator at 130 degrees. They will be done in 4-8 hours, depending on your dehydrator.
Option 2. Tie the stems of multiple sage plants together and hang upside down in a well lit and dry area of your home. Make sure there is air flow in this area as well. Sage should be finished in one too two weeks.
Once dehydrating is complete place in a large bowl and crush into smaller pieces or a powder.
Store in your preferred AIR TIGHT container.
