Dehydrating Garlic Chives

Cut chives in the early morning. This will ensure they have the most taste. Leave at least two inches of the plant behind for continual growth.

Wash chives in cold water and vinegar.

Cut chives into small pieces and place in dehydrator at 130 degrees. They will be done in 4-8 hours, depending on your dehydrator.


Once dehydrating is complete place the dried chives in a large bowl and crush into smaller pieces.

Check stems to ensure they have dried all the way through.

Store in your preferred AIR TIGHT container.

Garlic Chives can be dehydrated by air drying but, due to the thickness of the stems, this can take up to 3 weeks.
